Our Family Adventure to Kodikuthimala Eco Tourism
By Usman AH & Family
Me, my wife Suneera, our daughters Haniya and Fadhiya, and my son Sabith went to visit the stunning Kodikuthimala Eco Tourism destination. Our aim was to climb the mountain together as a family. This was our second visit to the place — the first time, my son Sabith was not yet born.

We drove up to the main gate, where forest guards were stationed to provide entry tickets and inspect plastic items. The ticket rate per person was ₹50, and they collected a refundable deposit of ₹120 for plastic bottles. We also purchased water from a nearby shop before starting our climb. Everything went smoothly and the arrangements were well-organized.

The climb began with enthusiasm. We enjoyed every moment surrounded by the charm of nature. Along the way, we took short breaks on the beautifully placed chairs installed by the tourism authority. We captured photos from several eye-catching viewpoints. One special moment was at the love symbol viewpoint, which looked mesmerizing amidst the hills.

It took us about two hours to reach the top. The mountain peak was covered in mist and a cool breeze refreshed us as we reached the summit. The view from the top was absolutely breathtaking. We took several photos near the watch tower that stood proudly at the peak. The sky was cloudy, adding a touch of mystery and beauty to our experience.

On our way back, we noticed two children’s play parks — one at the starting point and another halfway up the trail. Although we couldn’t explore them as our focus was on reaching the summit, they looked lively and well-maintained. The entire trip was a wonderful experience for us, filled with laughter, bonding, and the beauty of nature.
